Big Deal 2013 UK tour dates and free download track

Big Deal's Alice Costelloe and Kacey Underwood in 2013Following on from their partially impressive follow-up album, June Gloom, earlier this year, Big Deal will be touching down again on UK soil for more tour dates to feature their new material, as well as their debut album, Lights Out. The duo of Alice Costelloe and Kacey Underwood have played a fair few UK gigs over the years, but they’ve mainly been either supporting other, more established bands or short tours, but the 2013 dates are both headline and pretty far reaching.

Starting off in Norwich on the 12th October 2013 at the Sound & Vision the tour features a total of 18 stop offs passing through Brighton, Manchester, Leeds and Bristol before finishing up at Cargo in London on the 27th November 2013. The gigs build on their festival sets during the summer, which featured their new material for the first time in the UK, including their performance at this year’s Secret Garden Party.

If you’ve never seen the band before, visit our Big Deal live review from their 2011 tour following the release of their debut album, Lights Out. Playing the brilliant Tamesis Dock definitely added to the night, but the addition of the more impressive tracks from their new album, combined with their existing material, should make the 2013 tour dates even better.

To celebrate the announcement of the band’s biggest series of UK tour dates, and arguably their most impressive year, they’ve also released a free download track for anyone that missed June Gloom. Swapping Spit is available as a free MP3 track through Sound Cloud below and it’s one of the best tracks from their second album.
