Final Fantasy 14, Playstation 3

Final Fantasy 14Final Fantasy 14 is on its way. Following the success of its million selling predecessor, the new incarnation of the epic Final Fantasy series is building anticipation like a first date with a super model. Set in the unknown realm of Eorzea and with more online tags than You Tube, XIV looks set to bring a whole new dimension for FF lovers to dive into – probably for months on end.

With a sprawling landscape of pirate cities, deserts, forests and mountain ranges to explore, you will again be bending the magic of crystals against a whole new breed of devastating monsters that stalk the land of Eorzea. However, as the untamed land is torn apart by a new threat from the stirring Garlean Empire and adventurers, militia and city states move to take control of an emerging power, Echo.

Final Fantasy 14 will give you a lot more freedom than older FF games, especially with the online play. With five different races to play as (Hyur, Miqo’te, Lalafall, Elezen and Roegayn), a whole range of classes and disciplines to choose from, character development and missions a plenty, FF XIV will take a lot to make the most of it all. One of the coolest online features though is the auto-translate feature, which will let you play with people from different countries, speaking different languages.

Final Fantasy 14 will be coming to Playstation 3 on the 25th March 2011, with a price of around £40, having already been released on the PC back in September 2011. The cut scene cinematic storylines don’t look as though they’ve gotten any more impressive since the glory days of Final Fantasy 9, but hopefully it’ll have a good helping of the class that made 9 so amazing.
