Leon Carnaby Street review

Leon Carnaby StreetOn the way to the Carnaby Street: 1960-2010 exhibition, I stopped in on the Leon Restaurant on Great Marlborough Street; mainly because there looked like there were a lot of people going in. I hadn’t really heard of the place before, but apparently it sources 70% of its food from the UK and rotates its menu to follow the seasons to keep its carbon hoof-print to a minimum.

With menu options including sweet potato and cauliflower curry (aka the Leon Gobi) and a few “superfood salads”, I went with the Moroccan meatballs and my best friend had the chilli chicken, which she shared a lot with me, gawd bless eh. Both came with brown rice and coleslaw (which I usually hate, but this one was good) and both were damn tasty. They weren’t cheap, £5.65 & £6.25 apiece, but if you want to save the world then it’s going to cost you.

Leon, Carnaby Street review: 3.7/5
