Avengers The Kang Dynasty UK release date, age rating latest and more

Marvel’s San Diego ComicCon 2022 presentation culminated in the announcement of the Avengers The Kang Dynasty UK release date, so here’s everything you need to know about the behemoth film. We’ll talk you through the latest on the age rating, cast, story plot and runtime ahead of the film, which is due out in 2025 (full details below).

Avengers The Kang Dynasty UK release, date age rating

That sounds like a long way off, and in all fairness it is, but the MCU needs to build the story up for the beginning of the end of Phase 6. To give you some context we’re currently in the middle of Phase 4 and the only Kang feature to-date was in the Disney+ TV series Loki, where a relatively well meaning version of Nathaniel Richards.

There’s a long way to go until the next full Avengers film comes out, and it will probably feature a whole bunch of variants of the super villain from across the multiverse if the Kang Dynesty title is anything to go by. Obviously, what remains of the Avengers will have to rally against them as their conquest and counter spills throughout the various universes now that the Kang from Loki isn’t around to hold back the tide with his rigid grip on the timelines.

We’ll get our next taste of the power of the Kang variants in Ant Man and the Wasp Quantumania in 2023, which seems set to feature the Conquerer version of He Who Remains. Like Thanos, he’s one of Marvel’s biggest villains and will probably only just get started in the Ant Man and the Wasp, just as Mr Inevitible did in Avengers in 2012 before being defeated by Iron Man’s sacrifice in Endgame in 2019.

Cast

The only thing we know about the cast for sure is that it will see Jonathan Majors returning to the role of Kang in Conquerer form (potentially among others). It should also feature the remaining Avengers, so Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, and Anthony Mackie as Captain America.

However, with a number of films due out before Avengers The Kang Dynasty, it’s hard to say for sure which ones will definitely be left standing by the time the 2025 release date comes around. Equally, it’s called the Multiverse Saga, so any of the lost Avengers from this universe could be replaced by alternate versions of them from another. This creates a lot of room for Robert Downey Jr., for example, to return as a different Tony Stark / Iron Man.

James Gunn has already confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will be the final film in the series with the current Guardians, so again it’s hard to know if the likes of Bradley Cooper, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, and Karen Gillan will feature in the cast for The Kang Dynasty. Its a similar story for the stars of Black Panther Wakanda Forever and Captain America New World Order, so we’ll update things here as soon as they’re officially confirmed.

Avengers The Kang Dynasty UK release date

As things stand, the Avengers The Kang Dynasty UK release date is scheduled for the 2nd May 2025, so you’re looking at a little under three years before you get to see it all go down on the big screen. However, if the last few years have taught us anything its that film dates that are a long way off can change fairly easily, so as with the cast we’ll also keep you updated here in terms of the release date.

It’s set to come out a mere six months before we get yet another fix in the second of the the double-header, Avengers Secret Wars, which releases on the 7th November 2025. Both dates are the same in the US and as they’re so far in the future there’s nothing else due out on the same weekend as of yet.

If the Kang Dynasty release date goes on to be the 2nd May 2025 then it should then go on to be available on DVD, Blu-ray and digital towards the end of August 2025 in the UK. However, as it’s so far away there may well be a brand new format by then or we’ll all be watching it in virtual reality with the likes of the Sony PlayStation VR2 due way before then.

When will Avengers The Kang Dynasty come to Disney+

It will probably be available to stream on Disney+ before the DVD, Bu-ray and digital version of the film becomes available to buy in the UK. You’re probably looking at early August at the latest, but it could easily be July if things continue as they are today. For example, Lightyear came out on the big screen on the 17th June 2022 before coming to Disney+ on the 3rd August 2022.

Age rating and parents guide

The official Avengers The Kang Dynesty age rating for the UK won’t be confirmed by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) until we get much close to release date, but there’s plenty to go on from previous Avengers films. Both Endgame and Infinity War had a certificate of 12, which has been the norm for Marvel films throughout the Cinematic Universe, so we’ll be surprised if there’s a change to this before the 2025 release.

In terms of the parents guide, you can expect the usual superhero violence to be the biggest consideration. If you’ve seen the previous Avengers films then you should have a good idea about what to expect. Language is usually fairly tame and its a similar situation for romance, although Thor does get a little nude in Love and Thunder.

We’ll update you with more details on the age rating for the film as it gets confirmed. You can also check out our movie news section to keep tabs on the latest upcoming film release dates, certificate and parents guide details, or visit the Marvel website at https://www.marvel.com/.

Runtime

As with the age rating, the runtime for Avengers The Kang Dynasty will be announced closet to the release date, but if the other films are good indicators then you’re probably looking at 2.5 hours. Infinity War was around that and then Avengers Endgame was even longer at 3 hours.
