Following on from their success with The Warning and Made in the Dark, Hot Chip has finally set a release date for their 4th album, One Life Stand. Coming to us on the 8th February 2010, it will obviously feature their first single from the album, also called One Life Stand, along with 9 other electropop eccentricities.
With the single sounding great (it was released as a free download by iTunes on 30 November 2009 and it’s giving the radio a pounding at the moment), and the memory of big hits Over and Over and Ready for the Floor, anticipation is high that the rest of the album will be just as class.
The release coincides with the start of Alexis Taylor & crew’s UK tour. Kicking off at Academy in Glasgow on the 12th Feb, it will also take in (a.n. other gig date) Bournemouth O2 Academy on the 22nd Feb and London’s O2 Brixton Academy on the 26th & 27th Feb.
