Finding the Doctor to Cure Leaflings in Pikmin 4
You must locate the Doctor and bring him to safety before you can have him treat the Leaflings. To find the Doctor, you must head to the area called “Blossoming Arcadia,” which is the second location you’ll get to explore after Sun-Dappled Terrace, so if you haven’t made it that for you might want to check out our guide below.

Once you’ve collected enough Sparklium to get the ship operational to search for more signs of survivors to rescue, you’ll be able to travel to Blossoming Arcadia. Once you get to the new area, start completing the bridges, which will give you access to harder to reach locations on the map.
AdvertisementOnce you have finished the bridges, you will be able to make it to the northern portion of the map. In this region, you will find the entrance to the “Drafty Gallery” underground cave. After entering the cave, proceed downward to the fourth and last level of the cave.
You’ll find the Doctor on the fourth level. However, you must defeat the final boss of the Drafty Gallery to rescue him, so if you’re having difficulty with it, you can read the next section to help you out. Once the enemy is defeated, the Doctor will be rescued and he’ll return to his job in the Rescue Corps.

How to defeat The Final Boss in Drafty Gallery to get the doctor
On the fourth level, at the bottom of the Drafty Gallery, you’ll encounter an enemy resembling a large, spike-covered, blueish-purple fish floating in the air. If you want to see the Doctor, you must defeat this foe first.
Fortunately, beating this enemy shouldn’t present too much of a challenge. All you need to know is which Pikmin to use, and you’ll bring it down to the ground with a bump in no time, leaving you free to get in a lot of damage.
AdvertisementStart by firing Yellow Pikmin at the Puffy Blowhog cavern boss. Don’t waste time trying to fire them in with charge, because it’s obviously too high up for Oatchi to reach. At this point, you need to bombard the enemy with Yellow Pikmin, as many as you can. As the Yellow Pikmin damage the enemy, the enemy will eventually fall to the ground.
Once it’s down on the ground, it’s time to fire in your Ice Pikmin, which are one of the best new additions to the 4th game in the series. The Ice Pikmin will quickly freeze it, and the Puffy Blowhog will be ready for an Oatchi smash or charge to finish it off.

The Doctor will also tell you that the cure for the Leaflings is called Lumiknoll, which is only available during night missions. You’ll find these night missions in the home base by chatting with the Doctor. Each night mission you complete will grant you a batch of the liquid essence of the glow Pikmin’s base that you can use to cure the infected Leaflings.
