Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds

Noel Gallagher's High Flying BirdsWhen Liam and Noel went their separate ways in 2009 and Liam continued on with the remaining band under the new name, Beady Eye, it was sort of inevitable that Noel would come back with his own album. However, not many would have expected him to take so much time about it. Either way though the time is finally here with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

Recorded in 2010 and 2011, High Flying Birds will be released on the 17th October 2011. Some of the track listings are sort of familiar, especially the unreleased one-time Oasis song Stop the Clocks. Written by Noel Gallagher, it was supposed to be released on Don’t Believe the Truth in 2004, but never made it in the final cut, and then the rumours of its appearance on the compilation album of the same name turned out to be unfounded, but now it’s seeing the light of day. Other unreleased, Noel penned Oasis songs include (I Wanna Live in a Dream in My) Record Machine, Everybody’s on the Run and If I Had a Gun.

Noel Gallager’s High Flying Birds will also start their small-scale world tour in Dublin on the 23rd October with venues on the modest side to start with.

The full Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds track list is:

Everybody’s on the Run
Dream On
If I Had a Gun
The Death of You and Me
I Wanna Live in a Dream in My) Record Machine
AKA… What a Life!
Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks
AKA… Broken Arrow
