Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart how to heal

If you’ve recently started Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart and you’re not too sure how to heal, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. You can read on below to find out how the healing mechanism works and we’ve also added in some additional notes on how to reduce getting hit in the first place and how to take the fight to the Nefarious duo.

The health system is the easy part, but for the fights themselves, you need to think in terms of Fury vs Wilder 2. Tyson had already shown in the first fight that he could dodge well and not getting hit is a big part of beating the robotic scourge that you face in the game. He’d also proven himself as as a very skillful boxer and you’ll need to do the same with Ratchet and Rivet when the tough gets going.

However, it was Fury’s aggressive, power press tactics that helped him finish off Deontay Wilder, and if you can do the same in Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart then you’ll smash your way through every enemy that you face.

How to heal

There are a couple of ways to heal Ratchet or Rivet, but the most important is with health orbs, which you get from glowing crates. Check out the video below for the Gold Arena battles to see the crates being opened and the health orbs being picked up. You can also see the Nefarious City walkthrough for the in-game references to the health system.

In addition to the crates, you can get health orb drops from enemies, which goes back to the earlier point about keeping up the pressure and being aggressive. If you’re down on health and there are no glowing boxes around then you’re going to need to take out more enemies to get orb drops in order to heal.

Finally, you can also heal with Miss Zurkon. It’s the first purchase option whenever you find her and it will also refills your ammo, so it’s good practice to get this every time you get to her.

More fight tips

Going back to the Tyson Fury points above, you need to be in a constant state of movement. Dodge, jump, run and tether as you’re dishing out the punishment. You can see this in action in the video above.

Fury also mixes up his shots and with so many different weapons, it’s good to jump between them fairly regularly to increase your chances of finishing enemies quickly to get more healing opportunities. Press triangle to bring up the weapon menu and choose your weapon wisely.

The enforcer is good for crowd control, but a good tactic is to lock enemies in place with the topiary sprinkler before deciding on the method of destruction.

Later on in the game, you’ll unlock a lot more weapons and it’s a good idea to experiment with these, especially when you’ve got enemies locked. Cold Snap and Lightning Rod will add to your enemy trap arsenal, so you can cycle through these to trap and destroy on loop.

This helps reduce the amount you get hit and increase the speed at which you beat enemies. You’ll need to heal less, but also get more health, so you can really take the fight to the Emperor and his lesser dimensional variant.
