Super Mario Wonder Search Party Puzzling Park guide

Super Mario Wonder Search Party Puzzling Park guide

It doesn’t take long in Super Mario Wonder to get to your first level that seems impossible to complete, so here’s our Search Party Puzzling Park guide to help you over the line. The idea is that you just need to find five Wonder Tokens in the level to be able to complete it, but there’s one, maybe two, that are incredibly elusive, so the notes below should come in handy.

A few of the Wonder Tokens in Search Party Puzzling Park are incredibly easy to get. Even the ones where you need to do a little work are not too bad. However, you’re bound to exhaust your options with these relatively quickly and come up against the total block that feels like the very last of them. The good news is we figured it out after a little frustration, and the sections below will give you everything you need to do for each of them.

Search Party Puzzling Park is the one of the first levels you’ll get to in World 2, Fluff-Puff Peaks. It looks like an easy Wonder Seed pickup, but with the challenge of the last Token it turns out to be much more challenging.

You’ll find the very first of the Wonder Tokens in the level very close to the start. While it’s a little bit high, it’s pretty clear what you need to do to get it. Head to the right from the start point in Search Party Puzzling Park and just jump when you can see the one that’s high above.

A string of hidden blocks will appear as you hit them to create a platform and then once you’ve created that you can jump up to repeat the process for a few more hidden blocks above. From there it’s just a case of jumping up to the second shorter platform and then a little jump to get the Wonder Token above that.

Once you’ve picked up the first of the Wonder Tokens head a little further to the right and you’ll see a pipe dropping Power Mushroom for you to pick up. This might make you think that’s what its main job is, but actually it’s a warp pipe to the back side of Search Party Puzzling Park, so jump into it and then you’ll find the second of the Wonder Tokens just to the right hand side in the background section.

From this point you should be able to see the third of the Tokens in the foreground, but this is the first mini enigma in the level, because you can’t get to it from where you are and it seems too high to get to from the other section of the level. However, it can be done quite easily, so jump back through the pipe, which will bring you out where you picked up the Power Mushroom.

When you come out on the other side of the warp pipe head to the right and you’ll find a drop going down a couple of levels. You only need to go down one level but your aiming for third mini ledge on the way down the drop. If you’re having difficulty locating it, check out the video below for the full walkthrough for Search Party Puzzling Park or you can see the location in the picture above.

You’re aiming to jump high enough to reach the first of the mini platforms in the drop and you’ll hit another hidden block which will trigger a climbing vine. This will take you high enough to get to the third Wonder Token. You can probably work out the rest, but essentially you need to climb up the vine and do a little jump to the side to pick it up and then you can move on to the 4th token below.

Even if you take the very first Wonder Token into account, the fourth one that we found is still the easiest pickup in Search Party Puzzling Park. Once you’ve picked up the third token, head back down the drop and follow it all the way down to the bottom, picking up the coins along the way.

This will bring you to a little underground section ending in a warp pipe and before that you’ll find the fourth Wonder Token. There’s nothing more to it, so from there you can take the warp pipe to the left and ride it up to the level above which is where the real puzzle begins.

In fact, without that prompt, you probably wouldn’t even know where to start to look for the 5th Wonder Token, because unless you accidentally stumble on one of Super Mario Bros. Wonder’s less well-known features you’ll still think it could be anyone. However, it’s very close to the point where you come out from the warp pipe next to the fourth token.

So you can stop tearing your hair out, from the point where you come out of the pipe, head to the left and jump over each and every one of the pipes along the way until you land just to the left of the last pipe. From here, turn back to the pipe and give it a little nudge and you will notice that it moves. It’s a feature we remember seeing vaguely in one of the trailers for Super Mario Wonder before the release.

Push it a couple of paces to the right and then you can jump onto the pipe and jump up above it to find yet another hidden block, which will come as a big relief. This will then send out a Wonder spark triggering the reveal for the last of the tokens in Search Party Puzzling Park.

Now that you know about the feature, it probably won’t be an issue again, so hopefully the guide for the level helps to make Super Mario Wonder less frustrating. If it does, drop a comment on the video above and don’t forget to share the post with the links in the top and the bottom of the page for anybody else that you think might get stuck here.

We’ll add these in as soon as we get our hands on the game. For now, you can check out our computer games section to see what other games are coming out in the coming months. You can also visit the Nintendo website at www.nintendo.com for more detail on Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
