The British Fashion Council announce the 2010 Fashion Forward Winner, Louise Goldin

Louise Goldin’s breakthrough pastel SS10 collection has showcased her pioneering mentality to knitwear and has helped her to being The British Fashion Council’s 2010 Fashion Forward Winner.

Receiving sponsorship for two season, February and September 2010, to feature at the London Fashion Week, Louise was up against other promising shortlisted designers Basso and Brooke, Emilio de la Morena, Jean-Pierre Braganza, Osman and Todd Lynn.

With a stunning new collection, Louise is now set to continue to wow the fashion world at her upcoming Fashion Week show on Sunday 21st February 2010.

The Fashion Forward Scheme, sponsored by Coutts & Co and supported by the London Development Agency, has been running for four years now and helps to fund the best British designers, allowing them to show and develop their business.

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, said “All around the world, people love London’s cool and funky designers, who, like Louise Goldin bring skill as well as innovative flair. This terrific scheme gives them an international platform and the business know-how to help them convert their ideas into profit and even bigger success.”

Well crafted words, but imagine him saying “cool” and “funky” in the same breath. It’s class. Anyway, hopefully BJ’s chat won’t have too much of a bad impact on Louise’s career.
