The stars of Suits

These days, it’s more and more common for people to book celebrity speakers for private events, parties, and performances. This may not mean you can simply pick up the phone, dial up your favourite celebrity, and organize an appearance, but with agencies like Mn2s, it’s pretty easy to get into contact with legitimate celebrities to organise private appearances.

Specifically, many find that it’s a good idea to aim for newer artists, or TV stars, as they can be easier to secure for events than big time Hollywood and music stars, but are still well-known and impressively famous. And if you’re looking for hot new stars, a decent place to look is the USA’s new hit show, “Suits.” The show, now early in its second season, features young actor Patrick J. Adams as Mike Ross, a brilliant young man with an eidetic memory. Ross is somewhat reminiscent of a nicer, softer version of Matt Damon’s Will Hunting character from the film Good Will Hunting, in that his intelligence is virtually limitless, but he seems determined to squander it. Ross is a college dropout, and out of desperation decides to help his best friend with a drug deal.

Meanwhile, co-star Gabriel Macht plays the part of Harvey Specter, a cocky but elite and high-powered New York City attorney working for a law firm that only hires Harvard graduates. One day, while interviewing potential candidates for a new associate position, Harvey encounters Mike Ross, who is posing as a Harvard student to escape the police, his drug deal haven gone awry. From that moment on, a strange partnership begins to grow between Specter and Ross, after Ross demonstrates his uncanny intelligence and is hired on the spot.

Throughout the rest of the show up until its current point, we see the evolution of the formidable Specter-Ross partnership as Specter continues to win high profile cases, and Ross masquerades as a Harvard graduate. The show is already enormously popular, and has a simple, intelligent coolness about it that separates it from most other shows on television. Each new episode offers a sharp, smart plot line, suave, enjoyable acting, and a good deal of humour as well.
