The best of Zara women spring / summer 2015

The New Year has come and gone and while there’s still a whole lot of sale shopping to do in the meantime, it’s also a good opportunity to start to look forward to spring and summer 2015 and we’re starting out with the best of Zara’s upcoming lineup. Stylish as ever, there are a lot of cosmopolitan designs included in their SS15 range, so we’ve picked out our top ten items to give you something to aim for when the temperatures start to rise once again.

1. Zip jeweled leather jacket

Zara leather jacket with zips

With the gigs and nights out on the town that come with the onset of spring and summer, no wardrobe is complete without an über cool leather jacket and this little one from Zara is a gem at £159. The flashes of zips make it look like its jewel encrusted, especially in the glare of the early evening sun. Great with skinny jeans and killer heels.

2. Sky-blue round-necked dress

Zara sky-blue round-necked dress

This sky-blue dress has got some contemporary lines and minimalist attitude, which makes it stand out, without it being anywhere near a concept piece. It’s brilliantly simple, with clever cut back embellishments at the cuff, a cute round-neck collar, flowing darts at the bust and a summery finish at mid thigh, making it a very modern design for £39.99.

3. Dark bottle green bow collar shirt

Zara SS15 dark bottle green bow collar shirt

This is a power shirt with a very strong colour, which we love, but it’s also floaty and light, making it a great workwear option for SS15. At just £25.99 it’s relatively inexpensive, but it’s got take notice written all over it, so could be useful for anyone looking to make a play for a promotion this year.

4. Short duffle coat blazer

short grey duffle coat blazer

In the UK, the temperatures aren’t always great in spring and summer, so it’s good to have a little jacket tucked up in your wardrobe, ready for action, and this short duffel coat style blazer is a good option at £69.99. It’s length and ease of opening mean that it’s easy to change if things start to heat up, but it’s got a decent thickness if you need to button up to keep a chilly breeze out.

5. Side buttoned a-line dress

Zara SS15 blue green side buttoned a-line dress

This is another unique and modern style of dress from Zara for their spring and summer 2015 collection and the blue green colour makes it big on impact. The buttons down the side are pretty cool too, and in case you’re wondering, yes they are chunky pockets up front. It’s priced at £39.99.

6. Pinstripe cropped trousers

Zara SS15 grey cropped pinstripe trousers

These cropped trousers are very cute and super smart, making them another good addition to the wardrobe for SS15 workwear at £29.99. They’ve got a really good lines, flowing well with the pinstripe pattern and hugging in all the right places. They taper perfectly to their cropped hemline and have the addition of sharp creases down the front for added business attitude.

7. Balloon print shirt

Zara SS15 balloon print shirt

It may not be as all business as the bottle green shirt above, but this balloon print is a whole lot of fun, which will make some of the more droning days in the office seem a little less weighty if you pair it up with smart trousers. It also makes for a good casual shirt combined with a pair of jeans, as in the model shot, and for just £25.99 it’s a bit of a steal.

8. Short mustard anorak with fur collar

Zara SS15 short mustard fur collar jacket

This short mustard colour anorak (£79.99) is another good option for a spring jacket to keep you warm when things get a little too cold. The splash of bright colour that it has makes it feel like summer, but the detachable fur collar, zip away hood and padded lining leaves little to the elements.

9. Black dress with lace sleeves

Zara SS15 black dress with lace sleeves

This super slinky black dress with lace sleeves is stylish and sexy with it’s smock-like shape, sheer sleeve line and high finish on the thigh. It’s fairly expensive as Zara dresses go at £59.99, but it is a very impressive signature look that will turn heads.

10. Flared red dress

Zara SS15 red flared dress

Also available in black, this simple dress may not be the most sophisticated outfit in the collection, but what it lacks in embellishments, it makes up for in character with its block colour, slight flaring at the hem and casual feel. It’s ultra casual minimalism and we think it could be a solid go-to items for spring and summer 2015, especially at just £17.99.
