The classic 1993 Disney animation The Lion King got the live action treatment earlier in 2019 and with the DVD, Blu-ray, 3D, 4K Ultra HD and digital release date coming up, here are all of the special features, bonus content and extras that are being bundled with it. It’s probably the biggest film in the recent crop of live action remakes, so Disney has thrown a good amount into its bonus features.
There’s even a little extra on the DVD, which is a bit of a rarity these days. However, the Blu-ray options and the 4K are crammed full of content to add to the Circle of Life experience. As ever, the digital release is a little more convoluted, but in general they’re pretty much the same as the Blu-ray. You can see the differences in detail in the digital extras section below.
