There’s a lot of fun wrapped up in Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, but the jump to the archives on Savali can leave you way short of the target if you don’t get everything just right. While it might seem impossible, it’s definitely doable and you can find out more about how to land the jump with the details below.
You’ll also be able to see everything in practice with the video example below. It may take a couple of tries to get right, but you should be good to go with all of the tips.
AdvertisementThe jump to the archives comes at the end of the main objectives for Savali as a series of rifts are opened up by the monks to give you a good run up. It then leads up to a big battle on top of the archives, which can be a bit of a challenge, so you can pick things up with this walkthrough if you want to progress from there.
How to land the jump to the archives robot
The reality is that the most important part is the jump itself, so the focus of your efforts should be when you’re in the air. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t aim to get a decent run up as a primer to it all.
To do this, move backwards and start to glide towards the first rift by pressing and holding R1. To go into overdrive, press L2 a few times and then try to hit all of the arrows along the way.
You want to maintain that speed right the way up to the jump and keep pressing forward on the left stick when you go over the edge. In fact, keep pressing forward until you make it to the archives, even when you do the moves talked about next.
AdvertisementWhen Ratchet and Kit appear on the screen as the arc of the jump starts to be more of a fall, press jump to get a little burst forward. You can try to land a double, but it didn’t seem to work for me. Either way, you should then go into the hover glide by pressing and holding X for a second or two.
Next, you want to do a warp dodge by pressing O and then immediately go back to the hover glide holding X again. All the while you should still be pressing forward on the left stick, aiming for the rift on the ledge of the archives robot. If you’ve done everything right then the rift should turn yellow as it opens for you to tether to it. Press L1 to land it and complete the jump.
