Wonder Woman DVD, Blu-ray and digital release date confirmed

Wonder Woman on DVD, Blu-ray and digitalFollowing on from an impressive performance at the box office, Wonder Woman will be arriving on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download in October. We’re expecting it to be one of the biggest home entertainment releases of the year and with the addition of both 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray 3D versions of the film, DC is probably banking on this being one of its best selling titles to-date.

The DVD and Blu-ray release date in the UK has been confirmed for Monday the 9th October 2017 with all physical versions of the film coming out at the same time. The digital rental will also be out on the 9th October, but you’ll be able to own the film first on digital download from the likes of iTunes and Amazon Video with an expected release at the end of September.

It’ll be out in the US much earlier than in the UK with the Blu-ray release date set for the 19th September 2017, but it will be available to own on digital on the 29th August. While the difference between cinematic release dates in the US and the UK has fallen significantly in recent years, DVD, Blu-ray and digital releases still have a significant difference, so if you’re based in the UK you’re just going to have to wait a little longer still.

The Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray 3D versions of the film will come with a lot of special features which includes an epilogue to the story, a making-of feature, a series of director vision pieces, a featurette on the warriors of Wonder Woman and the all-important deleted scenes and gag reel. There will also be special features entitled The Trinity, The Wonder Behind The Camera and Finding The Wonder Woman Within, so there’s going to be a lot of extra material to watch.

Gal Gadot has received pretty much universal acclaim for her portrayal of Wonder Woman in her first standalone film as part of the new DC cinematic universe. She recently won the Teen Choice Award for Best Action Actress for her performance – her first significant award win – and she’s undoubtedly inspired millions of girls all around the world with her heroics and strength in the film.

You can read our Wonder Woman review to find out more about what we thought of the film, which we scored 3.5 stars out of five, and you can visit our main page at www.tuppencemagazine.co.uk/wonder-woman-2017-film-uk-release/ for more details about the story, cast and production.

We’re hoping that the strength of the main character and the story of the film is a good sign that Justice League will deliver the goods when it arrives on the big screen in November. However, we know for sure that it’s been enough to inspire the prospect of Wonder Woman 2, and we can’t wait to see it all come together again for Gal Gadot and her Amazonian superhero. Check out the trailer below to see her in action for the upcoming DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray 3D and digital release.
