Let It Be, Prince of Wales Theatre, London

Let It Be, Prince of Wales Theatre, LondonBeatlemania is about to return to London as Let It Be is scheduled to open at the Prince of Wales Theatre. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Walrus and the Eggmen quartet, the live show continues the ongoing love-in for the music that The Beatles created.

Let It Be will feature 20 songs from The Beatles’ back catalogue, including Twist and Shout, Come Together, All My Lovin’ and Let It Be. It will chart the rise of the band from their early days in Liverpool playing at the Tavern, to the full surge of Beatlemania and the brilliance of their later studio albums.

The show opens at the Prince of Wales Theatre on the 14th September 2012 and runs through until the 19th January 2013. It’s schedule to start at 7:30 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday; 3pm matinee on Thursdays and Saturdays and 5pm on Sunday.

Ticket prices for Let It Be range between £20, £40 and £60, with the addition of a limited number of VIP seats (usually reserved for the big wigs) available for £90. With multimedia extravaganza production values and hopefully the kind of live music brilliance that made Backbeat so good, it should be a touch of 60s class to the home of its swinging origins.

The Prince of Wales Theatre is based in London’s West End, on Coventry Street.

Tickets to see Let It Be are available from Discount Theatre.
