Super Mario Maker 2 how to play other people's levels

In addition to making your own levels, Super Mario Maker 2 also lets you dive into online courses and our how to play other people’s levels tutorial will show you exactly what you need to do. This will give you access to a massive batch of new levels to test your skills on, giving the game the kind of replay value that is pretty much unmatched outside of the realms of Minecraft or or big MMOs.

The first game in the series came out on the Wii U, which is widely regarded as one of Nintendo’s least popular consoles, despite it being a lot of fun and a strong pre-curser to might of the Switch. Despite the low unit sales of the console, Super Mario Maker was still a big hit and resulted in excess of 7 million levels being created.

The Nintendo Switch is far more popular than the Wii U, so SMM 2 will have even more players than the original, so if anything there are going to be even more other people’s levels to try. A conservative estimate would be in the region of 20 million levels being created for Super Mario Maker 2, so it’s going to provide a lot of game time over the years.

How to find and download other people’s levels

When you first start in the game, you’re probably going to focus a lot of your time on either Story Mode, where you learn how to make levels and Make Mode where you create them yourself. However, there will come a time when you’ll want to play other people’s levels and you can follow the steps below to get started:
