Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D 3DS

Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3DSBack in 2004 the PS2 was ripped apart by the appearance of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It’s genius stealth engine and combat system brought it many awards and now a reworking of the game, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D, for the Nintendo 3DS is on its way, bringing Hideo Kojima’s classic back from the dead.

The prequel to the original MGS series, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D goes back to 1960s Soviet Union with FOX agent Naked Snake as he goes up against the might of the Cold War. The advanced jungle settings, rendered in stereoscopic 3D for the Nintendo 3DS, is a big feature of the game, bringing a new element to the largely industrial gaming environment in previous Metal Gear Solid Games.

In case you’re worried that going back in time so far will make weapons, skills and gadgets a bit old hat you can worry no more; the Metal Gear Solid patent cardboard box hideout device is still a big part of the game. However, one of the big additions to your stealth arsenal is the use of camouflage, as well as being able to hightail it up a tree if you see a baddy you don’t want to face.

Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D is a pretty exciting addition to the Nintendo 3DS. Bringing such a brilliant series to the 3D handheld gives it a lot of credibility and restores the faith that it’s going to see a lot of game love in the future with reports and new developments alike. Check out the trailer. It’s a bit long winded, but it shows how much effort Konami have put into the game.
