Lego Star Wars 3 The Clone Wars

Lego Star Wars 3, The Clone WarsIf you’re a regular reader then you’ll know that we’re big fans of the Lego Star Wars games, so the news that Lego Star Wars 3 The Clone Wars was set to hit the shelves in 2011 was met with a lot of excitement here at Tuppence Magazine. While Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 didn’t quite hit the spot, the new Lego Star Wars game brought back the old fun of the last 2 installments in the series.

The trailer doesn’t really do it much justice with a voice-over guy that sounds like his main line of work is bingo caller down at the local working men’s club. However, that aside, Lego Star Wars 3 The Clone Wars was is another classic.

With all the films already covered it was hard to see where a new game could spring from, but luckily the animated TV series, The Clone Wars, came along to provide the storyline power to bring Lego and Star Wars back together once again. Though the game is based on the stories in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoon series, it will also feature the characters from the whole Star Wars saga to give the game even more variety to play with.

Released on Playstation PS3, Playstation PSP, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and PC on Feb 18th 2011, as well as getting a later release on Mac, Lego Star Wars 3 features all of the brilliant moves from the previous games. However, expanded force abilities and new combat skills will give the game a little reinvention, combined with brand new features including battleground mobilisation, colossal killer bosses and multi-layered space battles to contend with.

In Lego Star Wars 3 The Clone Wars you’ll be able to do Lego-like battle on a massive scale as either a Jedi Knight or a Separatist. Lightsaber slicing, long distance force attacks and an upgraded level builder will make this a
long-life sprawling entry to your gaming catalogue that’ll transport you into the action and keep you there for a long time. Maybe if we play it for long enough we’ll be able to make our dream of being able to use the force a reality. Hhemmmhhhh!!! Sadly, nothing yet.
